About this experience
Day 1: Your guide picks you up in Oslo. Drive north through lush countryside, stopping at scenic viewpoints. Arrive at a mountain lodge near Lake Gjende for a traditional dinner, safety briefing and gear check.
Day 2: Take the boat across Gjende to the trailhead and hike Besseggen. Your guide uses crowd-smart timing to avoid peak congestion, sets a comfortable pace and provides safety decision points throughout. The route offers dramatic vistas over turquoise Gjende and dark Bessvatnet. Return to the lodge for a celebration meal.
Day 3: A quieter valley walk or optional summit with far fewer hikers. Visit Lom's famous bakery and medieval stave church before returning to Oslo by evening.
